Our Services
The entire team at Life Smile Dental Center is dedicated to making your dental experience as pleasant and personal as possible. Most of our team has been with us for several years and our patients do enjoy seeing the same faces when they come in for their appointments.
When you visit Life Smile Dental Center, the first people to greet you will be Mary and Goretti. Mary will most likely have helped you schedule your appointment, and both Mary and Goretti are available to assist you with filing your dental insurance. However, that is not the only thing they do. Both of them are here to assist in making your dental visit as smooth as possible, from scheduling subsequent appointments to financing your dental investment. They are an important part of our team and we value them immensely. Our newest team member, Pamela, is our Hygiene Coordinator. She works diligently to be sure all of our patients stay on their hygiene recall schedule.
Goretti and Mary our Treatment Coordinators, are available to present your proposed treatment plan and answer any questions you may have regarding what has been planned. They are able to explain things in an easy to understand format and feel it is important for each patient to fully understand what their treatment requirements are. Today there are many choices in dental treatment and we feel it is important to be able to help our patients make the right decisions for their dental health.
We are very proud of our Chairside Team and know that you are in good hands with either Betty or Patty. Betty and Patty are both Registered Dental Assistants and are quite capable of performing any duties required of them. Betty and Patty are committed to providing exceptional patient care and making your experience at Life Smile Dental Center a positive one. Irelis, our Sterilization Coordinator, is also a Registered Dental Assistant, as well as a dedicated team member responsible for maintaining our high standards for infection control. Look for her in the treatment rooms, too.
Our Hygiene Team is incomparable. Eva, Jeanette, Elena, Carmen and Palig are dedicated team members who are interested in helping you maintain your dental health. They feel that patient education is an essential key to promoting good oral hygiene. Since we all know that healthy teeth and gums is the foundation for total health, they make it a priority to help you understand the importance of good oral home care.
Our entire team is involved in on-going educational seminars to sharpen our skills and keep us abreast of all the newest developments and research. Not only is your comfort important to us, but being able to provide the very latest in dental technology to our patients is something we strive for daily.
We feel certain that being a patient with Life Smile Dental Center will be beneficial to you and your health. We are a full service practice seeing adults and children - your family is our family.

Waterlase (Laser dentistry)
Oral Sedation
What can the Waterlase be used for?
- Decay removal
- Cavity preparation
- Superior Sealants
- General soft tissue procedures
- General dentistry for enamel and dentin
- Avoid being "numbed"
- Avoid the shot and pain
In the hands of your trained dentist, the Waterlase is a safe medical device. The laser provides pinpoint accuracy, reducing the chance of causing damage to healthy tissues.
Heat and vibration are the causes of most of the pain associated with the drill. Since the dental laser does not transmit heat or vibration, many dental procedures can be performed with no pain, virtually eliminating the need for anesthesia in most cases.
The laser's pinpoint accuracy is precise enough that your dentist can leave in place as much healthy tooth structure as possible, allowing you to keep your own teeth longer.
In-vitro studies have shown that tooth surfaces treated with the laser are dramatically more cavity-resistant.
The Waterlase gently performs numerous soft tissue (gums) procedures with little or no bleeding. The laser gives your dentist a new high-tech tool for many procedures that previously required referral to a specialist. Now you can have them performed during your scheduled appointment and feel better afterwards.
The Waterlase prepares your teeth in a way that maximizes the bonding of tooth colored fillings, allowing them to last longer.
Oral Sedation Now Available at Life Smile Dental Center
For many Americans going to the dentist is a frightful event, even though dentistry has changed so much in the past years. A visit to the dentist can now be relaxing and fun.
Dr. Seastrom at Life Smile Dental Center has completed special training that allows him to treat these fearful people. "That's right, using a small pill, people can now have their dental care accomplished while they are totally relaxed and absolutely comfortable."
Dr. Seastrom is a member of the fastest growing organization of its kind in dentistry, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation - DOCS. The purpose of DOCS is to provide the education necessary for dentists to provide needed care to the large population of people who are avoiding the dentist and to improve their lives with better dental health.
Dr. Seastrom and his team are proud of their commitment to our community. They can be reached at 818-345-4383 with any questions regarding anxiety-free dentistry at Life Smile Dental Center.

- Growth patterns of children's teeth
- Congenitally missing teeth

Patient Radiation:
The advantages of panoramic radiography include considerable time savings for the office staff and the reduction of the patient's exposure to radiation as compared to a full mouth periapical series. A full survey using Intraoral periapical technique requires 14 to 18 separate exposures, involving the cooperation of the patient for a period of twenty to thirty minutes. A panoramic radiograph, including patient positioning, takes less than five minutes to accomplish (during which time the patient is essentially passive). The panoramic radiograph, coupled with an additional 5-7 minutes for bitewings, represents a 50% time savings. "total radiation exposure to the patient is on the order of one-fifth to one-sixth of the radiation exposure required by a full intra-oral series."
LIFE SMILE DENTAL CENTER is excited to be able to offer our patients the very latest in dental radiographs technology!
